Whilst many bands and artists have been quiet during Lockdown Bwca have been exceptionally busy releasing three new singles, playing several virtual gigs and appearing on a number of radio and tv shows. Over the last few weeks they have even played their first three gigs since February in Aberaeron, Newquay and Cardigan.
Fronting Bwca is Steff Rees who sings, plays guitar and writes the songs. Steff has lived in Aberystwyth for a decade now and almost all of Bwca’s songs are inspired by the town and its environs. At Gŵyl yr Enfys Steff will be accompanied by Iwan Hughes on the cajon and guitar in order to perform an acoustic yet energetic rendition of Bwca’s catchy and summery tunes.
Bwca’s first album will be released on CD very shortly but in the meantime you can listen to their most recent singles like Elvis Rock, Hiraeth Fydd (701) and Tregaron on the usual digital platforms such as Spotify, iTunes and so on.
